Whilst visiting Canada, Netti Buchanan, “a stay at home mum” of Cherrybrook was captivated by the great taste and the all natural ingredients of an energy bar she discovered in the shops there.  She was so impressed that she decided to start her own business importing them into Australia.

Her first port of call was the Parramatta Business Enterprise Centre for general business information, advice on business planning and expertise in finding the right contacts.  Netti explained that the all natural, gluten free, dairy free, preservative free, energy bar developed by a small, home based Canadian business had evolved into a world wide phenomenon; available throughout  Canada, the USA and the European Union.  She had obtained the marketing rights for Australia and was determined to establish a successful importing business.

Robert Gorman from the Parramatta BEC advised her to start by enrolling in the BEC Comprehensive Introductory Import/Export course to learn the intricacies of  International Trade.  Subsequently, Netti approached the lecturer, Corinne Campbell of XDOC®, for further training and consultancy in importing, as well as in starting a small business.  Together, Robert and Corinne were instrumental in getting Perfect 10 Australia off the ground and getting the products shipped and imported into Australia without a hitch!

The ongoing support of the Parramatta BEC and XDOC® has given Netti the skill and confidence to drive the project forward in an optimal way.  She is reassured by the knowledge that people with lengthy experience in the field are there to help her if she needs it.
